Electric Vehicle Range versus Cost

Visualizing the Range of EVs on Major Highway Routes

Probably the dumbest comparison I've ever seen; dividing MSRP by range.

The good news is the Bolt had the best number.

The Porsche Taycan had the worst number, but unlikely their owners would give a rat's ass about that.

Taking the new lower MSRP of the 2022, the Bolt does even better. And taking actual price paid, often better yet. Especially compared to any Tesla since list price is the price one pays.

They failed to take into account tax credits too.
Actually, the list is a year old. The Tesla Model 3 Long Range in its current configuration matches the Bolt's $141: $49,990/353. If you had checked on Jan 1 before Tesla started increasing prices, the Model 3 Long Range would have gotten a score of $46,990/353 or $133, besting everything on the list. So even now after a $3000 list price increase, the Model 3 (LR) is still quite competitive on this silly stat. :)
