Just got an email about the acquisition. See attached.

"Dear friends, customers, and partners:

We are excited to announce that eMotorWerks was acquired by Enel, a multinational energy and renewables company based out of Rome. This is a huge milestone not only for us but for the future of smart-grid charging across the globe.

We will remain the same nimble and innovative company we've always been, now with stronger financial backing, a worldwide channel, and strength through global partnerships and presence."

For those who don't know... eMotorWerks makes the Juicebox EVSE.

They've already changed from the small startup they were a few years back when you could purchase your Juicebox as a collection of parts that you had to solder, assemble and calibrate to make a finished EVSE.

They stopped selling the kits a few years ago, now it looks like they'll be taking orders from their new owners :(

Oh well, there's still OpenEVSE....

Unless they bought to shut it down they probably won't have much to say, other than "keep doing what you're doing". That's what happens in 99% of buy outs, it's just a portfolio thing.
