Hey guys,

I had the Bolt EV loaded up pretty good yesterday, Patio table, 1 bench style seat, two reclining patio chairs, a huge umbrella, umbrella base, cushions for the seats, two table lamps, a floor lamp, and a big bag of random stuff.

Pictures to follow after I eat lunch, wife is calling :)

Keith

PS: All the stuff in the blue bag, along with the table lamps and floor lamp were in the under load floor storage area... that is why they are not pictured in the car :D

Looks good!

I carry loads like that all the time (farm to home in town) and I'm on the fence whether a Bolt can replace my Subaru Outback or more likely the Ford Focus Wagon. I want to jump in but these cars, both over ten years old, still work like new so I don't have an excuse yet to replace them.

I actually had to move my seat up a little bit from where I normally have it to get everything to fit, but it was "do-able" obviously :) I may have had issues if I was a taller person with more need for leg room.

My other car is a 2012 Miata, so the Bolt EV is actually my "practical" car when it comes to hauling stuff :D

Once you have assembled all of the Ikea furniture, it might be cool to picture it all around the back of the Bolt.
I finished assembling it all that night, so my choices would be to carry it all to the drive way for the picture, or drive the bolt into the back yard.... that crap is all wood and heavy, so not carrying it around to the drive way... and it has been raining a lot so not driving the Bolt EV through the yard to the patio...

Great idea, just not going to happen :)

photoshop!

Edit: Interesting. My post was entered in all caps, but was changed to lower case. I guess the 'bots don't approve of yelling?

I love how creative people are getting with electric vehicle usage. It’s amazing to take a car that was traditionally used only for commuting purposes and turn it into a moving patio set. I think it’s a great way to show how versatile electric vehicles can be. Plus, it’s a great way to save on gas and energy costs. It's also a great way to make your daily errands a bit more fun.

I'm excited to see the pictures! I'm sure it must have been a bit of a challenge to fit everything into the car. I'm impressed that you managed to fit it all in, especially the blue bag and the lamps! I would like to share the successful experience of buying a beautiful set of outdoor furniture, which I ordered on the website url: https://www.gardenfurniture.co.uk/. However, we didn't have such a functional car, so we used the delivery service. And we enjoyed spending time with the family in the countryside. Thanks for sharing your story with us!
