Hello all, this is my first post.
Proud owner of a 2017 Bolt Premiere since July’19. Absolutely love it.
I have search far and wide for this answer and I’m admitting defeat, I’m unable to find the answer.
As most of us in the USA play the Time Change game. I’m finding that I need to change the programmed charging start time. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?
We change our clocks, the Bolt changes it’s display time dutifully. However the programmed charging start time needs to be changed manually. Why would they’ll not include an on/off for EST/DST participation?
Does anyone have insight on this, am I missing something?
Thanks in advance.

confused why you would change the charging time. You changed the car operating time, seems like you are done and ready for charging to automatically start at its normal time.

What he said. If I change my clocks in accordance with the time change, I do not also have to change the alarm time on my alarm clock... same situation with scheduled charging.

SparkE, yup, I stand corrected, I’ve only ever referred to it as Daylight Savings Time, my bad.
Detsiwt and Fivedoor, forgot to mention that the TOU meter also changes peek/off peek by one hour, from 8 to 9 along with the clock time changes. However, setting the Bolt to charge 8p to 8a (off peek) during EST would then be charging at 8p in the spring when we switch to EDT, 9p to 9p. The programmed start time doesn’t change with the clocks time change.
Am I still thinking incorrectly?
Thanks.

It hard to tell what you're saying here but it sounds like that when your clocks change your utility makes a further change to time of use windows. That your time of use windows change at the same time the clocks do. You're making this overly complicated though.

It's all relative and the bolt only has a much info as you give it and some basic GPS updates. The time has changed. Est/EDT/ whatever is irrelevant. Local time is all that matters. 8pm is 8pm and setting the tou window to 8 to 8 will have it change inside that window. If your utility also changes time of use windows to 9pm to 9am by your updated in car clock local time than you need to manually change the time of use window. The vehicle has no idea what utility you use or what their time of use windows change to during different seasons. It only updates the current time based on GPS.

All that matters is setting time of use by your in car clock so it matches when your utility offers time of use. The vehicle only uses the in car clock.

Update:

So the DST change might have happened when I checked my car in the afternoon. I noticed that my car was charging past the EV rate Sunday morning... naturally because the car clock is 1 hour behind.
