It needs to be linked to Plug Share or another site that shows all stations not just the national operators. In my area there is a local company that has provided more stations than all of the big guys combined. EVI electric vehicle institute and none of those are listed because they are not a major national company. Just my opinion. It is also not showing EA sites.

Yes, not perfect by any stretch, but it's a big step in the right direction. They haven't yet incorporated ChargePoint and others according to the blog. 'Hopefully soon.

On my phone I am not yet seeing,"real time availability of charging ports", or some of the other features even though the Maps I have installed is supposedly up-to-date. Deleting/Re-installing didn't do the trick either. So it may not work for everyone yet.

But I look forward to being able to find, check the status of and navigate to chargers all in one app on my Bolt screen (via AA).

All EV stations have to be added to Google Maps, either with information supplied by the manufacturer or by the station operator, just as PlugShare is done (my own home EVSE is added to PlugShare).

So Google should communicate with the manufacturers, and offer some incentives with operators to get the maps updated.

Just checked, it is not perfect, as it is showing my charging stations that are not built yet and wont be ready for at least 3 - 6 months.

But, better than it used to be. I can search nearby "charging stations", cant wait until plug-share is bought by google so we can get full integration.

Google Maps has begun highlighting the locations of charging stations for electric vehicles. To display these locations in the Google Maps app just search for keywords like “EV charging stations.” Maps will then display the nearest supported locations. Maps will also show information about the business where the station is located, the types of ports available, charging speeds, and number of ports. Like any other location in Google Maps, listings for EV charging stations will include user-submitted information such as photos, ratings, reviews, and questions.
