Hi:
New here.
Wondering what colors will be available?
I've only seen the silver color and too bright concept orange color for the Bolt. Even the grey CES Vegas ones.
But i like blue, so did a bit of photoshop work to make a blue one with a bit darker tint to the windows.
Enjoy.

p.s. did not know how to do full size.

I actually prefer leocal11's dark blue matte finish on the Bolt. It could be the rendering but the Bolt Ev seems to look better in matte IMO. Gives it a sporty look.
I think the Bolt Ev will look great in every color but I'm partial to anything bright.

That's what I was thinking, the colors coming out these days offer the sort of foundation great for turning into a matte finish, not dull and lacking life like colors before. I've been seeing a growing trend in people just wrapping their car in matte or adding matte accents. At the least I might add those matte accents.

Disappointed in the color options really, would have liked a few real unique ones. I am going with silver.

Would have loved the concept orange, or the pearl or something unique.

What??? You would rather have some unique colors, but your going with silver???!! One of the most boring colors ever??

All of the safe, conservative, ("It looks so good in...") colors can be found in this picture-

But life is full of actual colors! No need to be afraid.

I feel your pain about the orange shown with the concept cars. That is exactly what I wanted too. However, consider that the orange color they are offering (more of an amber really) is actually unique on the streets. Look around and see how many other cars are out there that have that color. If you want a unique color, this is it.

I saw a silver thou seemed pretty sharp compared to a lot of silvers. I can't do red or the bright blue, so was a toss up for white/silver.

Think Silver will look good with a nice tint.

I would have done the orange the one they went there is just not quite that though lol, or that great looking pearl is not an option for some dumb reason.

I must agree. I've gotten very tired of the 50 shades of gray cars. I don't love the orange, but the Red and Blue are both fine colors.
I see tons of that blue on the road in Hyundai product
Just in case anyone cares, I found a paint code chart . I had to go looking since one of the dealers wouldn't publish the colors of the units they had on hand.....so here's the minutia:

image [year] make model paint color
G B Y 2017 Chevrolet Bolt Nightfall Gray G7Q
G B Y 2017 Chevrolet Bolt Silver Ice GAN
G B Y 2017 Chevrolet Bolt Summit White GAZ
G B Y 2017 Chevrolet Bolt Mosaic Black GB8

Black is beautiful lol, and hides some of the less desirable design oddities of the car...especially when you black out the nasty chrome GM always pimples their cars with to make them look "fancy". Oh yeah, and since the car doesn't come in "Gold", remove or black out the nasty oversized gold branding on the front and rear.

Don't forget to put black wheels on, tint the windows as dark as possible and paint your tail lights black. Hmmm... I think I've seen this car somewhere before...

Hence why i hate the Bolt in any color other than black since your just creating that much greater contrast between the body color and all the other trims/colors happening. I hate how they designed and colored the C-Pillar to create a floating roof, in the end it creates a weird cut off, not something everyone will get, and not something everyone will care about.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about it either, but it seems to be the trend. Cars from other manufacturers are doing the same thing too. From a practical manufacturing point of view, if accomplishes a few things. It makes a transition from roof panel to rear fender without having to do body filler, or have a seam and it helps detract from the massive structure required for roll over standards. It also says- "Look! I'm up to date too like the BMW i3, or Lexas RX, or Mazda CX-3, or the Nissan Murano, or..."

Having said that, the original concept car's C pillar was much better than the production one and I would have much preferred that.

Chevrolet will be happy to tell you all about the available colors:

Kenetic Blue, Orange Burst and Cajun Red cost an extra $395.

Canada Chevrolet doesn't make it as obvious. These are the paint prices in Canada:
Nightfall Grey Metallic $495
Silver Ice Metallic $0
Summit White $0
Mosaic Black Metallic $495
Kinetic Blue Metallic $495
Arctic Blue Metallic $495
Orange Burst Metallic $495
Cajun Red Tintcoat $595

That's quite a bit of paint price creep. Next year might be: "so ya want paint on it ?? its gonna cost !"

Wow. That is lame. What? Do those colors cost more to ship to Canada??! I don't understand the gouging of our friends north of the border, or south of the boarder for that matter. I would expect a North American price standard (outside of various taxes by governments and orange blowhards)

That sucks. I wonder if other car companies do the same in Canada?

It may come as a bit of a shock, but we don't use US dollars here in Canada. Canadian companies use Canadian dollars, each of which are currently worth around 75 cents US or so, depending on the day of the week and the latest tweet from the White House. At that exchange rate, Canadians are actually getting a wee bit of a bargain on the paint prices.
Chalk it up to the ebb & flow of minor equipment variations from one country to another.

It goes beyond paint:
Canada gets DCFC provisions “standard” in model price, U.S. charges $750 optional. Canada gets Tire Inflator standard because Quebec has a winter tire law.

How to pay for those Cdn-only goodies ?… Paint, eh. And it looks like Cdn LT option package price for driver confidence is a wee bit high at 81% above U.S. price.

Definitely agree! This is why I had to get my first black car. As a design hound, even though we like to think around here that the Bolt is designed as a mainstream car instead of a "typical EV", it has too many design oddities that are obvious in other colors. I want one of the car mags to do one of those design commentaries. Sorry to those who enjoy its floating chrome everywhere, GM's only apparent solution for fancifying weak design, wtf were they thinking?. As with most any car design, I want to grab the designers and shake them! I'm more constrained on this car than others in my stable, but I still had to do some light design mods to satisfy my design aesthetics. It didn't come home from the dealer until this was complete. I'll post some more pics as soon as it stops blizzarding. Teaser pic: no chrome bedazzlement! no tail light booger! no oversized gold branding!

Sunburst Orange is such a let down compared to the concept car and production concept orange. The factory orange is the same GM orange GM has had for the last 17 years, bleh!

Agreed. I really wanted the concept orange. To rub it in, it looks like our friends in Europe are going to get the orange you and I want on the Ampera E!

I'm still going to get the orange though. The red is fantastic, but is just too trendy right now and the kinetic blue is also real good, but I guess I'm just not a blue kinda guy, so orange it is even if it isn't the one I really want.
