19 or 20 inch wheels only? Seriously.

Expensive, damage-prone tires is my take-away. 17s are bad enough. They're also aesthetically weird.
It all depends on the tire. The Tesla Model Y long range has 19" wheels as the no cost option (larger are an expensive option) and the tires on them have a 4.5" side wall. The stock size tires on my Bolt 17" wheels have a 4.25" side wall.

The aesthetics are in the eye of the beholder, and once again also depend on the vehicle they are going on. 21" wheels on a 1995 civic (if possible) would look ridiculous, 21" wheels on a Tesla look pretty darn good.

Yup. Here's my comments about them from a previous thread:

A ton of people go absolutely goo-goo over those things. My 2006 Audi A3 offered an "open sky" panoramic sunroof and people would go nuts over it, insisting it was the greatest thing ever and you'd be insane not to get it. I had to special order my car to get the color I wanted and no sunroof. As time went by, the mesh sunshade, that was ineffective, was known to break and several people put tint on the inside of the glass to cut down on the heat and some of them shattered, possibly from heat or from flexing of the car frame. Another negative is adding weight to the worst place, on the top of the car. Many regretted the sunroof but I'm sure that more cars were initially sold because many find it impressive.
Agree, the opening sunroof is the worst idea ever; reduces chassis rigidity, often leaks, drains plug, rattles, operating mechanism fails; worse, it's almost impossible to find and maintain an angle to the sun which when open is pleasant. The fixed glass roof is the second-worst car idea ever. I, also, would pay extra not to have either of those in my vehicle.

As to large-diameter-wheels-with-low-profile tires, a local wheel repair shop closes for a week each spring and takes the staff to Hawaii off the excess profits from winter pothole and curb damage repairs and replacements.

I ordered the ID.4 Pro instead of the Pro S because Pro does not have the glass roof. In the SW, having a window on the top just means a hotter car in the summer.

So, Even though I heard the Ioniq 5 was not going to be sold in Georgia until 2023, I discovered my local Hyundai dealer had some in stock somehow.
As i wanted to see it in person, i ran down there before they all sold out. They only had SE trim in stock, so i didnt get a chance to see the SEL or Limited versions unfortunately.

I have to say, it was a nice, modern, bigger, more attractive version of the Bolt (albeit for twice the price I paid for my 2019).
One takeaway I had was how gorgeous the Digital Teal color was. Seeing pictures online in that color, I had no impression, but seeing it in person? Digital Teal was very attractive. In person, It looks nothing like the stock or faux pictures you see on the websites;
Unfortunately they didnt have a Lucid Blue one which i would have liked to see as well.

I mainly posted to inform those in the Atlanta area, local dealers are selling a few of these! unbeknownst to me!

From what I have heard it is not going to be 50 state EV and I'm talking about 2022 . Same way like Tesla is where in many states you can lease but not in Nebraska....You want it you have to buy it or finance to buy. So most of upcoming EV are not truly offering for entire US.
One promise that they announced are Over the air updates like what Tesla is doing.....will see if this is truly clean sheet design without ICE parts bean stuffed underneath. This ability should be important for EV especially when they finish in used markets.
I will be looking .
From what I read OTA updates are only for Navigation not for vehicle

This thread is now almost a year old and still no Ioniq 5 available here in Spokane. The website still doesn't show the 5 as if/when,
We appreciate your interest in our inventory and apologize we do not have model details displaying on the website at this time. Please fill the form out below,
The OTD quote I got was $70,000, but eligible for the $7,500 federal income tax credit.

Much to my surprise, a local dealer has a single Ioniq 5 for sale, a base SE. It's listed at MSRP too, of $45,290. I didn't think any would show up here until the middle of the year.

Not interested, although I could tolerate RWD in Minnesota. I cut my teeth on RWD, back when FWD was a novelty, like my sister's old Saab 96. Rusty POS that it was. Her first car. The Ioniq 5 probably has better weight distribution than the old RWD American iron I used to drive.
