My car still has only around 2500 km on it (about 1550 miles) and I have been noticing a pretty big error in its calculation of lifetime efficiency. I would expect by now this number should be starting to settle to reflect what it claims to - the lifetime efficiency. Instead, it is resetting to 18 kWh/ 100 km every time I charge it to my set max charge point of 85%. The same thing happens at full charge, though I have only taken it to 100% twice. During driving it has been using this number as if I have been averaging 18 for the entire 2500 km, now only dropping to the mid/upper 17's by the time I recharge. It also only resets when I charge to "full" (which is almost always the 85% cutoff I set);

And no, I don't drive it like I stole it ? my efficiency "since full charge" is usually around 13 -14 kWh / 100 km, with the exception of once leveling out in the mid 16's during a cold snap where I used the heater to defrost the windshield in the morning.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I just record kWh used and mileage before I charge and ignore lifetime efficiency. At 14 kWh/100 km that is about 4.4 miles per kWh. In the summer I get about 4.9 miles/kWh and winter about 4.4 miles/kWh as long as I am not doing a lot of freeway driving at 70 and above. Also, I live in a temperate climate (SF Bay Area) so winter isn't much.

My car doesn't give lifetime efficiency... is this something 2019's get that the earlier cars didn't have? Take a pic of the screen and post it up please!

You can find it in the myChevrolet app, or on the website. But it’s never right, so don't seek it out.
The OP seems to be talking about something displayed on his infotainment screen... as far as the app and website being incorrect, I thought that was because they include charging losses, and give "plug to road" efficiency rather than "battery to road" efficiency like the miles per kWh that resets when you reset the trip meter.

No, I am talking about the myChevrolet app. The efficiency calculation is so bad they should remove it. It literally just resets to 18 after every charge. There is nothing "lifetime" about it resetting to a number I never see.

My car has 1223 mi. The trip odometer has never been reset, so it reports the same mileage as is on the car, 1223 mi and an average efficiency of 4.1 mi/kWh. Based on the Efficiency History graph, this is right and I trust it.

The My Chevrolet app reports 1223 mi at 3.4 mi/kWh. No way is this right. Not even close.

So as others have said, ignore the My Chevrolet app's efficiency numbers, they are garbage.
