MAYBE.

So far everything about it seems good to me as far an an electric sedan goes.
Plus I can't help but notice the of the very obvious things about it over it's predecessor, it actually looks GREAT!

Who else here thinks they're likely to get the Bolt?

Greetings.

I'm certainly very serious about the car. Big catch: I need AWD (I teach skiing...). Current little AWD SUV has 110K miles on it, and I'd be thrilled to get 3 or 4 more years out of it as I put about 15K a year on it. So the timing with the Bolt is perfect for me.

GM is a winner for me over other potential 200 EV competitors like Nissan & Tesla. GM's engineering of the Volt was better than Nissan's job with the Leaf, particularly with the TMS (thermal management system). Not a Elon Musk fan and Tesla's long term future isn't certain (doubt they could get a government bailout...). I'd look seriously at a 200+ mile EV from Ford before either Nissan or Tesla.

I heard GM registed the CrossVolt name, so they may in fact be working on exactly what you need :D;)

Welcome to the both of you!

The basic Tesla shape is ideal for aerodynamics at highway speeds, but for most EV users, a boxy shape, like the Bolt concept, is ideal because it is more space efficient for passengers and cargo. I rather have more headroom and cargo area and lose a few miles of range.

As an example, have you tried sitting inside a Chevy Spark? The EV version is exactly the same shape, but for a small subcompact car, the Spark EV is a great example of space efficiency, versus the other small BEVs that the importers offer. The Bolt can be just as space efficient for EV buyers who need such a vehicle.
