Hello, I just downloaded Torque Pro on my smartphone and received a bluetooth adaptor. I loaded a Bolt EV PID into my .torque. I can get it to read out the VIN and a few other details but no cool things such as SOC, battery temp etc. I deleted the ICE gauges and but no EV gauges. What did I do wrong? Help? Do I have a problem with my bluetooth adaptor? Thanks in advance.

You have to add the gauges yourself. Long press on a blank spot -> add display -> digital display (or your choice) -> and pick what to display from the list. Capacity guess, heater cabin, heater battery, state of charge raw or displayed, individual cell voltages and more

Dear Openair,

I'm a relative newcomer also. It took a while to figure out the Torque Pro setup.

I started with downloading the OBD PID's that user Telek posted a while back. Search the forum
for "Chevrolet Bolt OBD2 PIDs". The linked file has lots of helpful hints and you can copy/paste the
link to get to the actual PID file. If you choose to edit the file, only do so with a simple text editor to
avoid something like Excel inserting stuff into the file that will confuse Torque Pro.

You can also import/export dashboard layouts or add manually the items you want from Telek's excellent file.

Openair, Thank you very much. You helped a lot!!! I am not surprised that I got a response from a Canadian. I have always found them to be very friendly, helpful and polite!!! Warren

and see post #432. This is a dashboard file I created. Way too many blank screens but it was my first attempt. (I was not aware you couldn't delete screens in the middle.) It has all the cell voltages on three later pages and many things I likew to see on the 1st few pages.
I have asked for others to share their dasboards but no luck on a really cool one yet...

With the help of Openair I got the dashboard to work. However, I get no data. I cannot figure out how to set my vehicle profile. All I see are options for ICE vehicles.

Shouldn't need to setup vehicle profile. You did import the PIDs into torque pro from within the app as well? Settings -> manage custom pids/ sensors -> 3 dot menu top right -> add predefined set. Possibly your adaptors not compatible? Should be 3 symbols in top right for connection status. Are they all solid or is one blinking?

Hi, Zip files good // .dash files Bad . Can't easily open these in a normal PC. Must first download and convert or create a special MPEG file .Am I missing something here .? Is it really this hard ?

This file is a "Torque Pro" file and should not be edited. The directory it needs to be copied into is a hidden directory. The latest updated files for the PID files in the CVS format need to be copie, never opened in any software, or you will break some of the PID addresses because if you open it, the program will interperate some of the values as "scientific notation" and will save as an incorrect value. The files need to go into the correct hidden directories in your "Torque Pro" files on your device first. You can create a new vehicle profile and point it to the PID file you have downloaded and copied into the correct directory. You can then create your own dashboard with the new variables such as "Max Cell #", "Min Cell #" and "Max Cell V", "Min Cell V" so you don't need the 96 values anymore for each cell. Most of the important ones are at the top and start with a "!" such as "!Battery - Pack Capacity Ah Raw 2017-2018" and others...

Ok, you are able to edit it but not in excel. Please don't edit it with excel or it will change some of the pids addresses thinking it is scientific notation.....
