We just bought a Bolt on Saturday. I've been eying them for a long time, but had put the thought of an EV on the back burner thinking maybe I'll save up for a Model Y (a financial stretch for sure) but more realistically keeping an eye on the Kia Niro and Soul news and thinking I'd hop onto those once they could be had for below MSRP.

But then suddenly on Friday the 29th my wife says she think's it's time to finally replace our 15 year old car and I'm like "oh crap, GM's incentives get cut in half in just a few days, this has to happen quick". The next evening I'm at the dealership signing paperwork. I got $11K off without an argument (wish I had tried for more).

It's a Cajun Red LT with all the packages. My wife was adamantly against the Shock color, and since she'll be the primary driver I couldn't argue with that. I sort of regret not going with the Slate Gray Metallic, but what is done is done.

I'm in a bit of a Level 3 desert north of Baltimore. There's one about 10 miles north of me, but that doesn't help much since all of our driving is to the south. We won't need one much, but, it would be nice to have more just for my wife's peace of mind (especially in the winter as we'll start bumping up against maximum range).

I've got a JuiceBox Pro 40 -- I just need to install it.

That gray slate is nice! Wish I could switch my nightfall gray to that. Congrats on your EV and adopting this new lifestyle. You won't regret it at all. The only thing you will regret is not doing this two years earlier. Get price off the MSRP, I don't think they would have come down any further.

My wife was set against the Orange Burst and I should have pulled the trigger anyway. Those shock colors look great on the Bolt. Happy wife, happy life, but you don't get the cool car color. Still debating if I made the wise decision. Eventually my wife would have had to accept the Orange Burst!

I'm only about 50% sold on the Shock if it were to be my car, but I'd 100% have gotten Orange Burst. I wish it was still available.

Welcome to the forum. The more you drive it, the more you'll both love it.

My wife-of-a-certain-age likes her Cajun Red Premium; wouldn't be seen in a Shock or Burst. Kid colors according to her read of them. I do agree the loud colors transform the styling of the Bolt.
