First, thanks to whoever put this forum together.
Had our new Bolt about a week. It's a Nightfall Grey Metallic premium.
A couple of issues so far: one time the big center display didn't come on until about 2 minutes into the trip. And then one time it insisted the charge door was open even when it wasn't. Otherwise very delighted with car. Not crazy about dealership we got it from (Community Chevrolet in Burbank) who managed to only find 1 key for it. They know they owe us the 2nd, but it sounds like it's just LOST on their end and we'll have to take the car in for them to copy and make a new one. Grossly incompetent.
We are charging just on 110v so far until we install our level 2 charger this weekend. I learned a lot the first week, including the difference between ChadoMo and CCS. it's too bad that around here at least Chadamo DCFCs are dominant.
I had one question which maybe experienced EV owners can answer....is there some kind of rule of them or expected ratio of charger kWh in vs driven kWh out. I know obviously we'd hope it to be 1: 1 but there must be quite some % of losses in the charging/discharging process and I was curious what this was. Also, what about just power decaying from the battery when not used for a few days. How bad is that?
Thank you
