I just joined this forum this afternoon. My goal is to purchase a good used Bolt in the next few weeks. So I joined to see what the real world forum people think of this car. From what I've heard, it's a great car. But I just wanted to see what real owners think of the before buying.

@XJ12 Thank you. I think I'll be able to find one pretty easy to find one where I live. But it's kind of strange. Most of the 2017 Bolts I'm seeing near me have a lot more miles on them than the Volts I was looking at. Usually 50K miles and up for the 2017 bolts and around 30-40K miles on the 2016 and 2017 Volts.I'm thinking maybe most of the Bolts were fleet cars or something.

Either fleets or used for Uber/Lyft. All I can say is that in either case, they probably fully depreciated the vehicle with 60k miles and saved a bunch on fuel. This would be a great way to encourage mass adoption of EV... low starting price with probably a decade or more of life left.

Makes sense. I have only looked online at dealerships for Bolts. Hopefully they are as good as they look in the pictures they post. But it seems like from the reading I've done on this forum so far, even 60K miles is just getting broken in.

Like any car, the Bolt has pros and cons. It all depends on what's important to you and what compromises you're willing to make. Read through the forum and get a feel for what people think. Most people here would recommend the Bolt.
I'm sure I'll find all the pros and cons after owning one for a while. But the biggest things I'm looking for is reliability and the ability to own one for at least five years and the ability to last with driving it 100 to 200 miles per day. So far from everything I've read, it looks like the bolt will do it.
