I also installed an Eco hitch on our 2020 Bolt and installation went smoothly. I followed the instructions with one exception. Instead of cutting an "open channel" in the black plastic pan that the hitch protrudes through, I left 1.5" of plastic on the edge for support. Basically created an opening, but not an unsupported slot. It worked great and if you search youtube for DIY ecohitch install on Chevy Bolt you can watch the detailed instructions.

Trash day for my 2019 Bolt EV. The hitch was already installed. So not sure what type it is. But the garbage attachment is a beast 😀
