I'm not getting notifications from the myChevrolet app when charging is finished, neither through email nor SMS.

I've provided my email address and my phone number, and notify when charging is interrupted and when charging is finished are both selected.

Utter silence.

This is on an iPhone 11 with app and iOS both at latest versions.

Is there some dead chicken one can wave over the app or is it hopeless?

I am. The free trial expired, but the notifications didn't work while I was on the free trial either.

Are notifications only supposed to work with a paid OnStar subscription?

The whole OnStar thing is super annoyingly and needlessly complicated, but that's a whole other thread.

Why does the app ask for your email address and phone number if it's not going to use them?

I signed up last week for both text and email notifications, and I am only receiving emails. I was wondering why only emails, but now I feel special. :)

Notifications come from OnStar, are you registered with OnStar?
Got a text message a few days ago to service battery within 7 days. I assumed it came from mychevybolt.
I don’t see how it could come from OnStar as I called them and they found no codes. Where my dongle mxlink registered 3 codes. And no one else has had this on the newer bolts that I can see here. Only have had car 3 weeks. A2021

I got the notifications for a while but then they updated the app with a new UI and it all stopped. My settings remained unchanged. I had the same intermittent problem with Nissan's app for the Leaf and my wife's new Ford PHEV doesn't send notifications either, but it's still pretty new so maybe something has to propagate through the system first.

I think app development might just be harder than people think.

OK, here is what you need to do to get this working...
You need to put your left foot in...
Then pull your left foot out...
Then put your left foot in, and you shake it all about...
...
Or was that something else? ;-) Sorry...
It's the backend mostly. I've had it working, then it stopped working for ages... Then all of a sudden, it started working again... I don't think it is the app (which is problematic) but rather the backend who should handle the notifications...
