Is there are way to turn the infotainment screen off, while driving?

There is a dial on the driver's side to reduce brightness - but sometimes the minimum brightness is also a tad bright for me at night. The dial gets pushed in but that doesn't seem to do anything.

You can also switch the screen to black background. I did that almost immediately after getting the Bolt.

The settings for the display give you the option of Blue Sky, Sunset Orange, Black Eclipse. The black background of Black Eclipse is much dimmer and less distracting at night. I recall another option is to switch between views based on time of day, but it has been a few years since I messed with those settings.
