Is EVgo actually a viable company?

First off, CA regulators seem to drag out commissioning of new chargers with permit inspections. EA has mentioned it in a variety of status meetings with the state regulators. Most folks will tell you there is often month(s) delays after they look ready to go...

Second, EVgo is most definitely a viable company. They were once a dominant player in CA, but Walmarts terminated contracts at many sites so they removed equipment. With investments from GM, and Mercedes, they are installing more new sites these days, most with 350kW or better, not that it directly helps Bolt owners, but it keeps things from backing up by getting fast charging cars in and out quickly.

Best way to see status is the Plugshare listing. The only listing doesn't seem to match your description, it is an old 50kW site with two units. So if this is the site (appears to be a Lucky market), nothing indicating upgrades are in the works, last checkins in December. EVgo app may have more details?
