Is there a simple way to determine the percentage of battery charge ?
Page 93 of my new Bolt EV User’s Manual says: “If the Target Charge Level is higher than 80%....”
Page 222 of the Manual says “Keep the high voltage battery state of charge at 30% …” for storage….
I thought there was also a suggestion that the battery charge percentage should be kept between 30% and 80%, but I couldn’t find that reference.
However, the only way that I have found to determine the percentage of charge is the bar graph left of the speedometer. This bar graph has 20 total bars so you have to calculate the percentage of battery charge based on the number of bars that are lit. For example, 30% charge would correspond to 6 bars lit. 80% charge would correspond to 16 bars lit.
Is this correct? Is there a simpler way to determine the percentage of battery charge? Does the myChevrolet app display the percentage of battery charge on a smartphone? (So far, I don’t have a smartphone that the myChevrolet app works on, but am trying to find one. )
Thanks in advance for any advice.
