Lease owners not eligible :-(((

Calling the specialist lawyers here in the forum as to why and if there is a possibility of getting them to offer the same refund to all owners (leased, financed, cash) since the monthly payment on a lease would be reduced by such deduction?

Lessees aren't owners. GM/their financing arm are the owners of the vehicle.

That said, it would only seem fair that lessees should also be able to get some to all of that amount.

No reason why not, let's change this!
It's up to them what they want to do. Cheap financing (low interest loans), incentives (e.g. rebates like this) are all forms of incentives. Sometimes, there are cheap leases are which are again incentives.

Sometimes it's offered in one form like for purchases but not leases or vice versa because they want to steer people to a certain behavior. I've seen other automakers do it all the time. I can't speak to GM since I don't normally follow them.

I'm not going to complain. I swapped into my EUV Premier and keeping my 12k/yr lease based on total cap cost of $23k, so it's dirt cheap already.

I did an MSRP swap (involving a substantial out of pocket payment) that closed in late May, the week prior to the cuts. I wrote Ms. Barra a letter and subsequently received a call a from GM discussing this.

Today I received a follow up call (that sadly I missed) from the representative I spoke with a couple of weeks back, advising me that they had some news for me but did not elaborate. I was not able to get back in contact with them today. Hopefully more info soon.

I bought a new 2021 Bolt this past month. Wonder if I would qualify for anything?
I'm guessing you paid nothing remotely close to MSRP, so probably not. Those who bought 2022s in 2022, pretty much all paid MSRP or close to it. Or swapped into a 2022 based on it's MSRP.

Leasees pay for depreciation, not equity. The 2023 rebate would actually increase depreciation for 2022s, so leasees would owe GM more money. ;)
