I had been holding down the #3 spot for the "Most miles traveled in a day" standings for a while, but I checked today and see I've been knocked down to #6 . 3 new entries this month topping my 657 mile day.
#1 still held by BlueBerryBolt (which is a GM employee driven Bolt).

I may need to take to the roads later this summer to try and beat my current mark...

I could set a record driving between Richmond and Charlottesville at 80 mph, back and forth, back and forth. What would be the point? I still can't go where I want to. The CCS infrastructure, outside of major metro areas is a joke.

We did 506 miles in a day, last fall. That was driving mostly state and county roads, much of it in the mountains, in the fog and rain. It included a 140 mile detour because of the lousy CCS infrastructure.

I often do 150+ miles and sometimes 200+ miles in a day at least one day of my weekend most weeks.

For example, last week I drove from my new home to the old house we were renting (23 miles) topped off the battery with the L2 charger (3.8 KW) I still have at the rental house and drove to Memphis (68 miles) back to the new house (58 miles) put the car on the stock charger connected to 240V (2.9 KW L2) for about an hour and headed to Jonesboro (41 miles) and then back home (another 41 miles) for a grand total of the day of 231 miles and 59.9 kWh used.

I can't wait for the electrify america CCS charger in Memphis to come on line... it will open up the path all the way to the East coast for me :)

Later,

Keith

So, tell us all about this 657.73 mile trip (or link to an old post about it). Where did you go, how long did it take, how many times did you recharge?
Here's the blog post I wrote: https://bro05.blogspot.com/2017/06/drive-across-state-of-maryland-313.html

Driving out ~180 miles to Deep Creek Lake to start the trip, and the ~150 mile drive back home from Ocean City are not included in the 313 mile drive. Fast charged for about an hour on the way to DCL and another 3.5 hours [email protected] slow charging to full in DCL before the trip. Fast charged another hour after the trip in Ocean city to make it back home.

My trip wasn't optimized for a "most miles in 24 hours" attempt. I'm sure some nut that wanted to do that could easily break 1k miles in a day. ;)

Yeah I wanted see how far I could go in 24 hrs. Lincoln NE to St. Louis and into Illinois Democrat back. It is actually 903 miles but the bolt stats are a little off. Worked well. If I really tried I think I can do it with a few more miles. Around 1100. I would drive faster and only go to 80% instead of full charge.
