Hi,

I have a 2020 Bolt, I just installed a brand new JuiceBox 32amp. When i plug it in the car says “Unable to charge “. The portable charger still works though.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as there is no one to talk to, sometimes it feels like owning a EV is a lonely pursuit…. Until i found this forum.

I had the same thing happen, but mine was an older model ~ 1 year old. Tested the voltage on my outlet and it was good. I emailed enel x the issue and they said it was definitely a defect. They gave me 2 options. 1. Pay a refundable $200 deposit and they’d mail a replacement (newer model than I originally bought, which I opted for). 2. They mail you a return label, then you send back the defective unit, then they inspect and send a replacement.

Customer service was great - I’d recommend reaching out and they will take care of you.

I should add option 1 included prepaid postage to mail the defective unit back.

Mine charges just fine on my Juicebox 40. Mine is a second generation model, and is now about a year and a half old. My daughter had a first generation Juicebox for her Pacifica, and it suddenly stopped charging as well. Look at the plug to see if the insulation appears to be sliding out of the plug. That's what happened to hers. My son-in-law gave the a CC number to expedite the replacement, and they shipped a brand new second generation EVSE. I'd call their customer service outstanding.
