Hi,

I had a 2017 LT previously, really liked it. So when it came time to replace it, there was no other good option for me. I've only had the 2019 for a couple days, noticed 2 things that are different from the 2017. The ride is softer, not as bouncy/harsh overall. There's a dimple on the charge port cover where you push to pop it open, thoughtful on Chevy's part. I never needed it before, though. Previous car was light blue and gold bowtie logos. This one's white with black logos. I planned on waiting for the 2020 with more range and the Oasis Blue color, but the discount on 2019s is just too good, not gonna see that anytime soon on the 2020, and I don't really need more range. First "mod" I did was remove the front license plate. Photos taken before that change.

How did you remove the plate? Mine is drilled into the fake grill and attached with rivets. Removing would require busting the rivets and somehow sealing holes.
You can drill the heads off the rivets, and push them out. Some folks use little plastic plugs from the hardware store, etc.

We must run a front plate. But I got rid of the big plate box, with dealer advertising. Had local body shop paint fake grill to match body. I just tapped the mounting holes in the grill, and mounted the plate directly. More aero, and not as ugly IMO.

It was held in place by 2 screws. I will find some black plastic caps and cover up the holes. If I can't, maybe some black silicone will do. As is, they're not that noticeable.

Congrats on the new Bolt! I got the red one. I thought about white. If I had chosen white then I think I would have gotten a black vinyl wrap for the roof. I think the black/white combo could have looked very sharp. But it looks great as is.

Im looking to buy a 2017 LT so I’m wonder what you mean by “time to replace.” Anything I should know? Thx.
