From 5/19 to 5/21 the Quirk Chevrolet dealers are running a special on Bolts thanks to Mass. Energy Alliance. I joined the Mass. Energy Alliance last year to get access to more info on the Bolt finally reaching New England. I got an e-mail from them letting me know about the promo, I call the dealership, gave them a deposit, and I pick up my Cajun Red Bolt tomorrow (5/20/17). I definitely have no affiliation with this dealer and actually can't stand how they have treated me prior to this deal, but I wound up talking to the general manager when I called in and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. We did the deal on the phone, he put me together with a VERY knowledgeable Bolt specialist there and hopefully the pick tomorrow morning goes without a hitch.

For those that want in on the action, please PM me and I'll give you the people to speak with as well as the phone numbers. What makes this special is that this is the largest Chevy deal on the east coast and they have 120 Bolts on hand!!! For 3 days the price is $3500 off MSRP and another $1000 off if you trade in a 99 or newer car. I didn't have a trade since I sold my ride before hand, but I couldn't pass up this deal because the dozen or so dealers I spoke with hardly had any inventory and a lot of the cars they had on hand were sold.

If you live in New England like me, I wouldn't wait.

I heard it was the fastest color!!! Thanks NY-Rob for all your help. The dealer in NY was excellent, but their communication back with me regarding when the car was coming in didn't help them. When this deal came out, I was so shocked that I knew I had to take it. The fact that it saved me from the 12 hour round trip drive was an added bonus. It also helped that they actually had exactly what I wanted on hand. I thought I would post up to help anyone else that is having problems finding what they want at a good price.

I actually spoke with Rich Alpern in CA about buying and having it shipped, but this deal was even better than his! I hope a few people take advantage of this.

Once again, thanks a lot for all your help NY-Rob!

Gratz on the new ride! Too bad the sale is so far away (7-8 hrs), with 120 in stock I bet they would have one in my setup. Any idea how long the sale is running?

Agreed!
When I got the "official" email from my dealer 100% confirming $3K off MSRP and that they would also take the $2K NY POS rebate off as well... that same afternoon I bolted ;) to the dealership on my way home from work and signed the paperwork :D

$3,500 off MSRP is awesome and as good as any left coast discount at this time.
It's absolutely amazing to me that some dealerships are still asking full MSRP for the Bolt!

You're picking up the car Sat (tomorrow) right?
Some time today, you may want to make a "friendly reminder" call or email to remind them to full charge the Bolt for you...

Thanks for the information. I have an appointment scheduled at Quirk for tomorrow. The deal mentions that you must finance with GM Financial. Does anyone know the pros/cons to this arrangement?

Spoke with the Bolt specialist this morning about my list of to-dos. Top on the list was full charge, then level I charger in trunk, ChargePoint card in with paperwork, and make sure front plate holder is installed. I hit him up for free state inspection with their branch in NH. The Bolt specialist actually knows something, he used to work for Tesla and Apple. Very nice guy that has committed himself to go over th entire system with me. I also asked him to make sure to do the latest software update that takes care of Android Auto.

The finance deal adds another $1000 off the MSRP. Don't know finance rate, but if you pay it off quickly extra $1000 would be worth it.

Very orderly process, I like it.

If you don't mind once this is all done, listing out what you went through and what they did would go a long way in helping other members here.

^ Even though my phone was brand new (bough it 2 weeks after getting the Bolt) Android Auto kept crashing.
It seems AA has many dependencies (and virtually zero crash reporting other than the app just failing to launch) which need to be current too.. so after quite a few manual updates to the phone... Android auto finally started working.

You can be pro-active and install AA on your phone in advance of getting the Bolt this way you can have the sales rep demo it for you....
Once installed from the Play Store- try to launch it- if you get to the "privacy policy" screen and then continue on to the "Connect to your Car" screen you should be good to go when you pick up the Bolt. If it crashes on launch... you have some updates to do....

Thanks for that NY-Rob. I installed Android auto a week ago as well as the my chevy app. I plan to have him help with the install and start up on both. Also have a number of other apps like Pandora, Chargepoint,Plugshare, Blink, and Waze installed from my phone as well.

Just so everyone is aware, my level 2 charger came in today, so I see wiring in my future. I chose the Clipper Creek HCS-50 to slightly future proof since its a 40 amp rig. Doesn't do all the fancy WIFI downloadable info, but as most people are aware you can't kill them and they work great.

If you stop at Quirk tomorrow at 9-10 am, I'll be the guy with the huge grin oggling my new Cajun Red Bolt!

That's a great idea! I'll try to remember to do it if it would help others. We just need more butts in electrics. :D:D:(:D:D

I went to Quirk over the weekend and put a deposit down and got my deposit back from another dealership that insisted that there was no way I could get $3500 off of MSRP for a Bolt and it was a scam. Well it wasn't a scam and hopefully my trade-in will net the additional $1000. Now to find time to actually go in and pick it up... Thanks again, woodturner.

Your welcome, glad you were able to move on it! Are you the guy I met looking at the light blue Bolt when I was there? If not, what color did you get? Was it premier or LT?

Wouldn't it be cool to have a New England Bolt get together.

I'm not sure if I was that guy, but I was looking at a light blue premier, but I saw at least 2 Bolts with the same paint job being sold while I was there so you may be thinking of someone else. I saw someone outside picking up their Bolt (don't remember the color) and asked them if it was the LT and they said yes, overheard them saying something about living on a farm. Maybe that was you? Hopefully I will be in to pick mine up before Memorial Day but I'm tight on time. I'm still a bit paranoid about the seat complaints since I haven't sat in the car for an hour and a half drive yet and I would *hate* to drive the thing home and have buyer's remorse by the time I pull in the driveway. Were you comfortable during your drive back?

I was quite comfortable. When I left I got stuck in traffic for several miles. I found I was very relaxed as I inched forward in L never needing to use the brake and playing with the phone apps on the screen.

You're going to love this car! :D

I was told exactly the same thing when I sent the $3K off MSRP offer link to the full price Bolt dealership I was originally dealing with. They told me "it's a scam", "when you get there it will be a different price", etc... When I told them I have it in writing for the VIN I want... the last email they sent said "well- if they want to lose money on every Bolt they sell that's their business".

It wasn't a scam- and I got my Bolt for $3K off MSRP.

Some dealerships want to sell Bolts, some don't....
