I know the range is posted at 265 miles. I will be using the Bolt to travel to my cabin which is 263 miles away. It is mostly Highway so I can keep the speed consistanly at 65 mph. I have a few places that are about 200 miles into the trip with a level 2 charger to get me there without worries but I am wondering if others have traveled Highway miles at 65 if the range held up to get a full 265 OR MORE?

Where do you get 265 miles from? I don't know which model year and which version of Bolt you're referring to but per Compare Side-by-Side, EPA range rating on '22 Bolt EV is 259 miles and EUV is 247 miles.

I sure wouldn't want to attempt 263 miles on a mostly highway drive w/o charging at all, esp. w/o checking elevation gain/loss (below).

Keep your speed down if you need to have more range autonomy. Have you checked the net elevation gain/loss via Earth Versions – Google Earth? You could be in for surprise in one of the directions.

Chevy Bolt EV travels 750 km (466 miles) on a single charge was when only 60 kWh Bolts existed. Notice they took 25.5 hours? That meant their average speed was only about 18 mph.

thanks... so when traveling 65 MPH how many miles will I travel before I need to find a charge... I figured 180-200?

65 mph = 105 km/h
The average efficiency at 105 km/h from my experience would be around 16.8 kWh/100 km = 3.7 mi/kWh. For a 60 kWh battery, this means about 220 miles before empty.

One can try plotting via ABRP.

I still also suggest checking net elevation gain/loss. It will make a difference.

Running the heater and/or defogger will sap your range. AC will too but likely less.

My first time ever driving an EV was when I picked up my EUV. I traveled 177miles at mostly 70mph and had 58mi remaining on the GOM for a total of 235.

I recommend A Better Route Planner (ABRP) which will do all the math for you :)

When I had my 2018 Bolt, during 90 degree weather in NM, I had a run that violated several so called limitations. I left Taos at 7000 ft. and started due south. The first 30 miles were crooked and slow, by nature. Then at Santa Fe I jumped on I25 and headed south at a constant 85 mph (slow for NM) and drove straight to Socorro. Socorro has an elevation of 4300 ft. THUS, the 226 miles was all slight downhill, with only one hump during the entire run. By half way through the trip, I could see that I was going to make it with ease...even with that speed. I arrived at Socorro, with a supposed 85 miles still left in the tank. So? The temp that the Bolt battery wants most, no wind, and all going down state and down hill. The Bolt loved that combo.

Salesman delivered my car. Arrived with 32 miles left, dealership 212 miles from my home.

Lots of factors, but ABRP is very conservative..needs to be to keep people out of trouble. But in the past month I made 2 identical 125 mile round trips, starting at 4300 ft, going to 7000 ft and back...all highway, avg speed 75. Avg temp ranged 75-80, AC on but not working hard. Charged to 100% and Reset mi/kWh before starting. At the end it showed 3.8mi/kWh. Used just less than half battery(66kWh)

Many other similar trips. In middle of winter its more like 3.2 mi/kWh. Worst was different 200 mile trip, on I-15, at 88mph avg in winter. Yeah, couldn't make it...had to DCFC. 2.5mi/kWh.

If the conditions were right I'd feel fine going 261 miles at 65mph, especially with a few L2 available(if needed) on the way as OP described.
