Hi.
I'm planning a trip over Christmastime down to the Northern Virginia area (coming from Albany, NY). Am looking for a hotel in Fairfax/Loudon county that has a charging station and also accepts pets. Any ideas?

Shouldn't be to difficult to research. Start with Plugshare in the area. Filter with lodging. Jot down hotels with charging stations. Then look up each on their website, which will tell you if they accept pets.

In the opposite direction there is this pet friendly lodging site: https://hotels.petswelcome.com Nothing popped up for Fairfax. But nearby Herndon had several hits. Take them and look them up on Plugshare.

Just remember that some chargers at hotels/motels are being listed as "restricted" on PlugShare. Apparently, if an EV owner demands to use a hotel/motel L2 charger without being a guest and the hotel/motel says no, they are petitioning PlugShare to list the site as "restricted" (the same way that private businesses and employers are listed).

We have family in that area and I took a quick look at some places I am familiar with. I am not seeing a hotel that accommodates pets AND has charging. What I have done in the past is use the hotel shuttle to take me to/from a charging location or just walk. We are partial to IHG hotels and I see that the Staybridge Suites Chantilly Dulles Airport takes pets and offers a area / airport shuttle. I also see that the airport offers charging as does the Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport. Both properties are IHG properties and so the Crowne Plaza will likely let you charge being a IHG customer. Call both properties in advance to confirm.
