That’s odd… kind of doesn’t look factory. Was something added at the dealership? LoJack, maybe?

I had this put on my Camaro by the dealership. The kicker is that I didn't pay for any extra theft monitoring service. It seems a little unusual and I don't think I remember seeing it when I installed my Owlcam, so it's even more curious.

Among the benefits noted are devices are “easiest to conceal“. I guess you caught one.

I'm not sure why I had one installed as I paid cash for my vehicle. I've already removed my device and am tempted to find a clunker and install it on that vehicle. Good thing I no longer work for the local PD or else I'd be tempted to install it on one of the cruisers.

These are designed for used car dealers that are a buy here pay here business. New car loans are
made to the banks, not the dealers. It just shows how bad these new car dealers really are.
They probably were a scab used car dealer at some point and time and still employ the scum bad ideas.

What you do is you find out what towing company the bank uses to repossess cars, find a way to install the device on one of their tow trucks, rig a camera on the vehicle, don't make car payments for a few months, and watch the repo man try to repo himself, repoception.

Here's how mine looked before I removed it. It was plugged into the OBII with a pass-through. I also felt it hit my foot at one point.
