If you remove it I wonder if the dealer or bank contacts you when they don't get a ping off the missing device.

He mentioned that they did tell him. Not saying dealerships haven’t told people…. but in this case they did.

Reviewing the OP comment, that’s true. I missed that.

But they didn’t charge him for it. Or give him a pamphlet or something on how to register it for himself. So not installed for the customer benefit. I wonder if there was any form in the slew of purchasing paperwork where he consented to being tracked by a 3rd party.
