I've noticed that the A/C makes a loud humming noise when I am breaking or in the 'L' mode and decelerating. The noise subsides once I've driven a few miles. I'm not sure if it has to do with the extreme hot temps we have in the desert (100+ degrees) , but it's very noticeable and I can feel it vibrate all the way through the brake peddle.

What makes you believe this noise is coming from the AC?

Can you record it using your phone? Preferably with view out of the windshield so we can guestimate when in the acceleration the sound occurs?

Regardless, if you're concerned bring it to your dealer's attention. You have a warranty, use it!

I would take it in for service.

I'm not an expert but my guess is the noise isn't coming from the AC but rather from the regenerative braking system. Any problem with a device with the word "brake" or "braking" in it should be serviced ASAP, if not sooner.
