To all the MD EV owners, I just got a replacement/renewal HOV sticker through the mail last week. Prior legislation had the HOV EV allowances set to expire next month. It was apparently updated back in May, and now we're good through 2022! This was such a relief for me, since US-50 takes up 1/3 of my daily commute. I actually had a reminder on my phone to call the MVA in a couple of weeks to ask about this specific issue.

On a similar note, I also wish the HOV stickers could be used in VA (they only work on US-50 and I-270, the only two places with HOV lanes in MD). And yes, I've ventured to I-66 and the HOV segments of I-495 as well, and I could certainly see how HOV stickers would be extremely useful for those plowing those roads on a daily basis.

No US-50 or I-270 driving for you, then? As mentioned, the HOV sticker was a godsend for me on US-50. Literally shaves off 5-10 minutes from my commute, depending on how bad it is in the morning. The Chevy salesman actually included the HOV sticker in his sales pitch.

Yeah, would be nice if they would work in the whole DMV area, not just the state they are for.
