Someone needs to give him a jolt.

 

Went to dealer - they can't find the part in their system. They called GM and showed it to them and they can't find the part either. This is wacky.
They want to order a bolt from some other point on fender and see if that works - guess I'll try that.

 

While out on my bike rides I occasionally come across a bolt that probably came loose from a car. If I find a bolt for a Bolt, I'll let you know. I can't guarantee it will be white though, so you may have to paint it.

Also I'll check the current inventory in my bike bag for a match.

 

Take the identical bolt off of the other side.
Take it into a hardware store and see if you can find a match.

Could stop by any auto parts place and get one.

 

Finally got it from dealer and it fits - photo of part attached. This is a unique bolt with captured washer - no easy way to take washer off without damaging threads so I did not paint it to match - it does not come painted to match like factory bolt. Can't really see it so no big deal.

 

GM is pretty much all metric too.

But a captured washer is an easy way for a robot to not drop the washer.

 

unless the robot dropped the whole darn thing.
