So in the MyChevrolet app, I seem to be running into some inconsistent behaviours.

9/10 times I sign in, there is no picture of my car (just the word Chevrolet). My subscriptions shows I'm 8 days into my 30 day free trial of OnStar.

1/10 times I sign in, I see a picture of Bolty McBoltface, and it reports my OnStar as provisioned (correctly) for three years of super cruise.

Also of note, I have been getting intermittent errors stating issues with the driver assist system.

OnStar confirms that I am provisioned correctly for SC.

Anyone else experience something similar? Of note, I am taking it in to be looked at on Thursday.

I only use if for Energy Assist during trips and will confirm that it does sometimes do strange stuff on start up. Sometimes I have to exit out and go back in etc.
Once it is up and running properly then no issues and the Energy Assist directions are spot on.
Since I got my new iPhone it does seem to have far less trouble than it did with my old Samsung but it also appears to be a different version at least in terms of how it looks on the phone.

About 1/2 the times I use it, I have to turn my phone off then back on to get the app to connect.

After the last update to Android version 5.17.1 (4125), I had to clear cache and storage, restart and reinstall before the app would work correctly. I think I had to do that one other time after an update.

Hi Ward.

Next time, try logging out and back in again. That has cleared things for me and is a bit less trouble than re-installing. Or maybe the iOS version is minutely more reliable than the Android version?

In general, I find the app useful for 1 or maybe two remote readings right after driving the car, and worthless any other time. It used to be pretty reliable up until about 1-2 years ago when they overhauled the app.

Hey Rob,
Thanks, I'll try that next time.

Actually the last two Android updates have cleared up several issues in the app (like the "Vehicle Status" nonsense that many were seeing) and seems to be working as well or better than it ever has for me. It also shows different miles for "Lifetime" and "Trip A" now. Trip A seems to be mileage since last full charge but is sometimes rounded to a different value than shown in the Charge Status section. And I haven't had the app fail to connect due to my (almost) permanently installed OBD2 dongle in quite a while.

Hmm, now that I've said those nice things, it will probably implode tomorrow.

I don't have Android so I have no idea how it works under Android. But on iOS, all is good for me. And I use it on two iPhones : XR and 11.
The errors you get in the app are due to your ODB II dongle. Take it off, drive the car and you'll see the errors no longer exist. Put back your dongle, the errors will be back.

After multiple calls to OnStar, multiple deletions/reinstalls of the app, and even a new phone, the myChevrolet app still will not display my vehicle's charge status. it says "Service is currently unavailable, Service will resume shortly." This is getting ridiculous.
