Mysterious 2-wire connection to front

Go to the front of your car (Premier, don't know about LT). Find the front facing camera in the center. Go down from that, down to the bottom of the car under the grill. See something there? In that plastic part of the front grill there's what looks like a center pin in some kind of socket. The center plastic pin rotates. If you investigate behind that you'll find that there's two wires going to it - but for what?

  • Probably not for some kind of 12V light option, the wires are (guess) 24 gauge. Just an LED or two is all that would support
  • CAN bus is a 4 wire protocol AFAIK, so unlikely to be a CAN connection.
  • Some kind of two wire sensor is an option, like a 2 wire temperature sensor. External air temperature sensor?

Pretty sure it is an air temp sensor, I mean it looks pretty much exactly like this one.
