I'm finishing construction of a house that I designed myself. When I designed the house 3 years ago I anticipated EV's becoming mainstream and had a 220V line installed for EV charging purposes. The house has PV panels that provide enough power for home use and EV charging. The panels should be enough for 600-700 miles of driving per month. I live on The Big Island of Hawaii and wanted to buy a Bolt from a local dealership but they didn't have any inventory due to a GM strike. I had to order the car from an Oahu dealership and had the car shipped. I ordered the car sight unseen and without any test drive. The msrp was over 40k but I ended up paying 29k plus tax, license, and shipping to The Big Island. The discounts being offered were too good to pass up. We picked up the car yesterday at a nearby port and today we took the car out to familiarize ourselves with it. My wife likes it very much and I do too. We're happy with it. Our local energy company is offering a free JuiceBox 40. Until we get it we're stuck with 110 charging.

Congrats. I take it you live in Kona? You should be fine with the 110V charger driving around Kona. You may even make it to Hilo and back on one charge, but it will take a long time to recharge if you do that.
Edit: I just looked at plugshare and there are several public chargers in Kona and Hilo. Happy Bolting!
