I have owned 2 Volts a 2012 that I sold to buy the Bolt and a 2016 that my wife now drives. I really miss the all windows down from the remote feature on both of the Volts. I called the dealer today on an outside chance they could program it to work, But they told me if it could be done the manual would tell me how to make it happen. NOT. I remember people complaining about it in their Volts and getting the dealer to disable it, I was hoping that could be done in reverse. No such luck. I am still convinced that a totally invested Bolt EV mechanic could figure this out so I am posting this to hopefully get the wheels turning.

On my '11 VW I could do this by putting the key in the driver's door and holding it clockwise or counter. On a hot day I found it very useful to open all windows and let some of the hot air out before getting in. Or if I parked (at home) with them open then came back to lock it for the night I didn't have to get in and turn the key.
I really miss this feature and I was disappointed the Bolt didn't have anything like it.

My 2014 Volt had "all windows down" via the FOB, was disappointed to learn the Bolt didn't have it enabled.

While I get the usefulness of being able to open all the windows to help cool things down, you could just turn on vehicle preconditioning for a few minutes to cool down the interior. The minor hit to range is probably worth the trade off for a cooler interior that you can trigger from the comfort and safety of being inside.

I'm with devbolt. Windows down would be a cool function to have but if it's a hot day I just precondition from my phone a couple of minutes before I leave the office. With the windows down, the AC would start to be wasted pretty quickly.

I miss this from my 2014 Volt as well. I probably used it two dozen times per year in the summer. It was well worth the risk of accidentally rolling down the windows because the fob button was held too long in a pocket for some reason.

Maybe if they made it a multi button press like remote start people wouldn’t complain.
