When I connect the Bolt to my Level 2 charger and wife later comes to disconnect, the alarm goes off even when she has her key. This occurs maybe 5-10% of the time. Same happens when she plugs in and I disconnect. The charge disconnect alarm setting is enabled. I thought it shouldn't matter which of the 2 key fobs was detected. Is there something else happening.

When it begins to honk after removing the charge plug I turn the alarm off by pressing the door open button on the remote. We also enabled door open by pressing the silver button on the door handles to avoid pulling out the remote. Could this be the reason why it doesn't go off all the time. And if so it doesn't work all the time.

Either unlock the car before you unplug, or go into the settings in the car and turn off the cord theft alarm setting.

mine only alarms when i stop charging via the chargepoint app. stop charging, then unplug the charger, alarm goes off. otherwise, if i just unplug (whether charging is complete or not) the alarm doesn't go off.
You might have hit onto something. We have a Chargepoint charger too and don't recall hearing the alarm with other chargers. After setting up the charger's wifi and charging schedule but haven't touched the app. Not a deal breaker but annoying.
