Issues: odometer frozen, regen on demand not working, trip distance blank, outside temperature missing, parking brake not engaging, and service parking brake light is on

This happened all at once while driving in the snow (actually just 6" of sleet). I continued to drive as normal for two more hours. There are no warning messages or any other symptoms.

Does anyone know what is happening?
This is a 2017 Premier with 69,493 miles on it (it's stuck at 69,480 on the odometer).

Last year, I lost regen in D, ABS, traction control, automatic emergency braking, and the parking sensors.
My steering wheel is clunking because one of the bolts on the rod behind the pedals is loose.
On warm days, my suspension croaks and clicks on uneven surfaces.
Bluetooth half-connects (works for calling, but not music) all the time, and I have to disconnect and reconnect (or restart the radio) to get it connected fully.

Yikes, sorry to hear you're having so many issues

Did you have this addressed at the time? It's not clear from your post.

Best guess I could come up with is something wrong with a wheel speed sensor, but that doesn't seem like it explains everything you are experiencing. It sounds very much like something that needs professional diagnosis.

Thank you for your response. The previous issues were not addressed. I was driving it fine, and I still can, but this is annoying. I'll bring it to the dealership eventually, but I hope someone here knows why all of this is happening (the new issues).

Try disconnecting the 12 volt battery for a few minutes. You need a 10 mm wrench to get the cable loose from the negative battery terminal. This solves lots of Bolt problems. It is a hard reboot of the computers.

And tighten that steering column bolt!

Scan it for codes.
I'll try that.

Good idea. I'm suspecting that some ice has gotten in the brakes somewhere, and something is stuck. I'll post an update soon.

Dash?? Missing ground?
Everything else is working
Does the speedometer work? I don't see how that could work if the odometer doesn't.

Mike
Yes -- it works. I said the same thing.
Change that 12v Battery. I bet it is the original?
I posted this on Reddit as well. Everyone is suggesting it needs a new 12v battery. I bought the car used almost two years ago, so it could be the original. I'll check once the weather clears up.

Do it. All kind of symptoms occurs when the 12v batt is going bad. My Kia EV did almost the same thing then your bolt when the batt went bad. I changed it not long ago. problem solved. I just hope it will be the case for you

also I changed mine on the bolt around the 4 years mark just to avoid this

Hi, all,

I replaced the 12v battery. Finally (I was away from home for a while, and the store I ordered it from held the battery for a week). Replacing it did not resolve any of my issues. Everything booted up exactly the same, but the time was reset. I believe I will have to go to the dealership for this…
