After a good cleaning I tried one of the newest ceramic hybrid coating finishes. I may have applied too much because it took a lot of buffing by hand and with a cordless drill pad to get this shine. Not bad for a paint job that's been on the road since late 2016.

What I used was "Turtle Wax Pro Hybrid Solutions Graphene Infused Flex Wax". A long product name and somehow, they left out the ceramic word, but it's supposed to contain ceramic elements as well. Graphene is the latest buzz word that the car care world like Meguires & Turtle Wax is promoting. I'm not saying it's all just promotion because you can see and feel the results. The surface feels really slick and clean, and I suspect it will be easier to wash over the next few months. When it comes time to freshen that coating up, I'm going to see how little I can use and still get that effect with less buffing work. In the meantime, my apartment living provides no outside hose, so I'll be using one of those double bucket rinse free carwash chemicals.

I have read that some of the ceramic coats come dyed in various colors, is this true?

I would like to try it on a clean but faded older car, was always curious what the best brand was

All I've used, so far, is the Turtle Wax stuff in the green pump/spray bottles.

Wash the car, leave it wet from rinsing, spray the Turtle Wax stuff on and dry it off.

The car's shine jumps out at you. The next time you wash it you'll be amazed at how easy it is to wash the dried bugs/stuff off the paint/surface.
