OK. Nobody responded to my posts on the old thread, so I am starting a new one, starting with my earlier posts.

My head is about to explode. This morning I went to the My Chevrolet website. It showed the car was unplugged, SOC was 88%. I updated the mileage to 11,959 to match what it showed several inches down the page under lifetime electric miles.

Can anybody tell me why they would have a place for the owner to enter the mileage when the site does it automatically?

Anyway, my wife then drove 50 miles to pick up a friend from surgery. About an hour after she left, I thought I would refresh the website to see if she had arrived, as I have done many times before. This time the lifetime mileage showed 19,313 miles, and the lifetime electric economy had gone from 30 kWh/100 miles to 18 kWh/100 miles! I tried refreshing several times, but it stayed the same. I logged out and back in, and it stayed the same. I grabbed a screenshot of the screwed up page. I then called my wife who said she had just pulled into the parking lot, and the odo showed 12,000 miles exactly.

I called My Chevrolet support, and spoke to a young fellow who assured me I had entered the wrong number. I tried to explain that the number I entered was correct and that the website was wrong. He didn't seem to understand/believe what I was saying. But after a bit of huffing and puffing on my part he turned me over to tech support. They set up a case number, and I hung up. My wife called to say they had just headed out from the hospital. After hanging up, I refreshed the page again, and as you have probably guessed, it was now correct. I called support back and asked them to add a note to the tech folks saying I will gladly send the screen grab, if they need proof. God only knows whose info was showing up for my car, or if the site was hacked. The website is total crap!!!

Hoping somebody computer/internet savvy notices my last post. This situation has me concerned for the security/safety of my car. Anybody know if the traffic goes both ways between the website and the car?

I just got a phone message from somebody at an OnStar call center who said they looked at my page, and it looks right now, so, "It's all good." This will be the message any of us will hear, just before the lights go out, and all power ceases to function.

And finally.... this afternoon the wife got home from the grocery store, and I charged the car up. Just now, I looked at the site to see if it was done. It's BACK! Not the exact same number, and not the exact same number of miles difference, and not the exact same percentage difference. It is again over by more than 7K miles, and the lifetime electric economy is an impossible 18 kWh/ 100 miles. I called tech support and got someone to actually look at my page while it was screwed up. So they now know I am not making this up. After hanging up, I refreshed the page and it reverted to the correct figures. Ten minutes later I refreshed again and it is back to the weird numbers again.

This issue would be meaningless to me.

It’s pretty boring to consistently get accurate and reliable vehicle data from a website, so Chevy has decided to shake things up by randomly generating spurious data for our Bolts. Now, we can all excitedly await the latest updates, and thrill as we note all of the dubious results. Additionally, Chevy has arranged for the site and app to be down at random intervals, and only partially responsive at other times. When we occasionally encounter a site with accurate vehicle data, it’s almost like winning the lottery!

To keep the mystery and suspense intact, Chevy and GM have staffed their customer service centers with cheerful reps who haven’t the slightest idea what the software does, or is supposed to do, and have no clue as to how to remedy any of our issues. This heightens our sense of mission as we soldier on in pursuit of that elusive unicorn, functional GM software.

Added to that, I've had two extra kinds of fun. One is having the website claim that the car cannot be contacted, but the other is the website going to some weird internal GM login page.

I'm just glad that the iOS app doesn't seem to have been coded by the same geniuses. It's not perfect, but it's not nearly as cringe inducing —*for now, at least.

I find it totally inexplicable. There isn't a single retail website on the internet as screwed up as this. They would be out of business in 48 hours. How can a big company, like GM, mess this up so badly?

Today is my lucky day. Out of boredom, I pulled up our car on the website. It came up almost immediately. Normally the little warning that it could take up to three minutes goes for a looong time, and often it won't load at all. Not only did it load, but it let me update our mileage on the warranty page. It almost never does that. I have never understood why that is even on there, as the stats page has the mileage anyway. Maybe they just want to see if you are alive?

Next I ran the app on my phone. It also came up almost immediately. Best of all, the mileage for both was the same, and the GOM for both was the same 171 miles. The SoC on the app was 92%, and on the website was 93%. Both knew it was plugged in and done charging. I went out to the car and the DIC showed 171 miles, and the same total mileage as the other two. I pulled up Torque Pro, and the DIC gauge showed 92.5%. The website and Torque Pro both showed 10,695 kWh used, and the app said lifetime 3.3 mi/kWh, which jives with my total miles divided by my total kWh.

Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket? ;)

You're doing a lot better than me. App says 334 miles range with 79% charge. 🤪
Website says 176 range after refresh, which is probably correct. The Website also says I've got no history of charging, mileage, or efficiency but under details I have lifetime of 106 "Electric Miles" (is there any other kind with a Bolt?) and 97 Kwh used. Yes it says exactly "Kwh". Every time I hit refresh I get a different value for range, like 333.67632903.
