Plastic crossbar plugs looked like trouble to me

I pulled a couple out and decided that they look like one time use type of plastic push pins. On that day I want to use the crossbars I envisioned pinching that flat plastic head and having the head pop off leaving the toothed part stuck inside. I decided to throw some button head M6x16mm stainless in the holes instead.

Great idea Lets Bolt! Could even consider applying some anti-seize lubricant to those bolts.

You could consider replacing with these:

Easily removed and reused, no worries about anti seize.

The irony of "easily removed" and the picture is of 5 different pry bars to force the plastic things out. LOL

They are actually very easy once you know the trick. The centers push in and they loosen. The first time I encountered one, though, I used every prying tool I had, getting the dumb thing out.
