Totally. They could make it half the HP and add a real drop top and I'd be thrilled. An added benefit would be that they might be the first production BEV, with a true convertible to market that I can think of.

Not good for much other than a drag car the way they have it engineered. The batteries are in the trunk and back seat area, places that are fine to stick batteries in a drag car, but make a street car not so streetable.

I do like the fact that the motor they are using is set up to bolt on in place of an LS block, allowing it to mate up to any modern chevy drivetrain.

I can easily see this motor in a Chevy truck, with a large battery pack under the truck bed.

Keith

Apparently they use two motors, so halving the HP should be easy :)

The motor bolts up to existing transmissions that accept LS engines, so an e-convertible might appear...

I know this isn't a street car - but it's finally interesting to see vendors "playing" with EV's - until they start tinkering with EV's using "off the shelf parts" Ev's are unique and not mainstream

but if they starting doing one off EV's just like they do with ICE's then the eV will work it's way into the engineering eco-system, and it will become the "normal" way we tweak cars…

it's nice to see Chevy playing with EV's - because it means they are serious
