I just took delivery of a used 2017 Bolt and the car drives like a dream I can't get enough of it. The problem is that the center touch screen wont respond to touches at all. It's working fine as far as it powering on and displaying what it's doing but I cannot change it from the default screen at all via touch. I tried the trick with pressing the homebutton and the skip forward button at the same time to reset it and it reset but it still wouldn't respond to any touches.

I'm in contact with the dealer I bought it from to try to work it out. but if anybody knows of a trick such as disconnecting the 9V battery that'll save me the trouble I'd love to hear it.

The infotainment center screen is NOT very touch sensitive, that's for sure. I often have to touch it multiple times to respond. My wife has even more problems, especially if you have dry fingers. I bought some gloves that have screen touch capability and that helps.

The screen has (or should have) a screen protector on it. Try removing it to see if that helps. Someone may have replaced the original with one that is not as sensitive.

The plastic film that comes from the factory has a tab at the upper-right corner. If you can't see or feel that tab then it means the original film has probably been removed already.

The car is a 3 year old used car. The odds that it still has the original screen protector on it are basically 0%.
