I have had my 2019 Bolt for about 9 months and what annoys me is that the lowest volume you can have the radio at start up is 13. I had two Volts and you could start the car and the radio volume could go as low as 5. Sometimes 13 is still to loud.
I've gotten in the habit to manually turn the volume to zero before exiting the car if I want the radio "off" at start up. I do this if I know I'm going to be taking a passenger on my next use of the Bolt. I say exit, because I usually turn the car off first, then adjust the volume prior to opening the door. If I just pulled into my garage, I also return the infotainment screen to my preferred startup screen because I just used the 360 view to pull in.I'd be happy if the radio stopped un-muting itself upon startup. Sometimes it stays muted when the car is powered up, sometimes not. Do I really need to shut down the entire infotainment system every time I shut off the car?
