I bought a 2019 Bolt Premier in November and soon noticed that when I roll down the passenger windows the raindrops and condensation remain. I need to wipe them down with a rag which is really annoying. The Driver’s side window is fine.

I took it to the Chevy dealer and they said the window seals were fine and were never designed to wipe moisture off the windows when rolled down. That sounds odd to me as the windows in all my previous cars have been perfectly sealed. Also I worry about how much rain is leaking into the inside of the doors.

Anyone else have this problem?

In 45 years of driving, I've never had a vehicle effectively wipe the window with a quick, unassisted down-up. I've always needed to give the window a bit of outward pressure to get the seal to wipe the outside. My 2017 Premier is no different in this regard. Methinks you may need to adjust your expectations.

The windows/door is designed to accept water. There are drain holes in the bottom of the door to let the water out. I have seen this on all the cars I have every owned (except for an MGA which did not have any side windows). What you are seeing is normal.

I've certainly had cars that do better jobs at 'squeegeeing' the windows than the Bolt does. Feel lucky that your driver's side windows are better. None of mine look like they have any physical contact with the strip along the bottom of the windows.

Through a multitude of vehicles (brand new, old, owned, company, rental etc.) for me this has always been a matter of chance.

Try kicking the door hard just below the belt line (sorry, don't, I just read the refrigerator defect thread).
