Hi everyone,

At long last, next week I will be picking up a 2018 Bolt. For some time, I will likely charge using the supplied level 1 EVSE. With my Spark EV that I leased a couple years ago, I had an incident where someone stole my level 1 charger (I don't have access to a garage). It was quite expensive to replace and would like to prevent it from happening again. I'm thinking to use a bike lock, but I'm not sure if I have something to wrap the lock around. Has anyone tried the trick of putting a length of charge cord under the hood so it cannot be made off with? I really wish the latch on the charge handle would lock with the Bolt!

Anyone with a similar charging setup have advice on securing the level 1 so someone doesn't make off with it?

I think the "pass a loop through the wheel and padlock it" is probably the easiest. I keep a padlock in my car in case I ever have to do this, although I haven't needed it so far. It doesn't prevent someone from cutting the cord, but then nothing else really does that either.
