In about 10 months of ownership of my Bolt, I have received two notifications/messages on my dashboard screen (the one behind the steering wheel) that says "Service Driver Door Switch". Has anyone gotten this message or know what's going on?

My driver side door switch, which I assume is the external lock/unlock button, is working fine. So I don't know what the message really means. After selecting "ok" to clear the message many months ago, I never saw it again until yesterday. If I take it to the dealer, the message probably won't show up. My OnStar monthly diagnostic report never said anything about driver door switch.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks! I'll contact my dealer and see what they say.

By the way, did you have to keep the service message on your screen or did you clear it and the dealer was still able to pull the record from the car's computer? Thanks!

I have found taking a picture with my cell phone to be sure I have evidence is good when dealing with dealers. Suggest you do the same before the message "accidentally disappears."

Just this morning I had the Driver Door Switch notification come on and I opened and closed my door. the notification was still there, so I cleared it. However, driving in L and coming to a stoplight/stop sign my Bolt doesn't stop, it just keeps slowly rolling forward until I press the brake pedal.

I'm sure these two symptoms are related. Any thoughts?

Yep! The ajar switch will deactivate the ability to stop in L Mode. Same as a seat belt switch. Open the door
in drive and watch it put the car in park. If you stop and pop the seat belt, it will set the parking brake.

They are forced to have nanny safety devices to keep you from killing yourself or someone else with an EV.
