Nothing fancy here. Just a, made in the USA, Clipper Creek LCS-20 that we bought for our Volt in 2018. Level 2 @ 16 amps which is all the Volt could take. It's also all the wiring out to the detached garage can take too. It's enough for our needs with the Bolt, fortunately.

The old clamp light is plugged into the opener, so it goes on with the opener lights, to illuminate the charge port at night.

I keep the extra cable hanging loose to keep it cool, as CC recommended. We never need it, as the Bolt charge port is just a few feet away. The cord doesn't even touch the ground when plugged in.

My setup, another Clipper Creek LCS-20 purchased from a former Volt owner. I added the meter today I found on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B094F98PYF in a box I found there as well https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S75TV3V Now I should be able to keep better track of the amount of electricity the Bolt is using. The NEMA 6-20R 240AVC 20 Amp and the NEMA 14-50R 240 VAC 50 Amp are just for testing. My house only has 60 Amp service so I can’t use the 14-50 regularly, and I have no real need to charge that fast at home.

Nice! I Love that they are made in Canada. They look simple and rugged, like our USA made Clipper Creek.
Yes Sir...I'm a domestic kind of guy first (CAN/USA/MEX) whenever possible. I understand that the components are offshore to a large extent but we need to do what we can locally.
Happy to say my Pacifica is made in Ontario and my Bolt is made in Michigan and they both have lots of parts from both sides of the border.
And I have been very happy with the EVSE's....the one on the outside wall was installed in 2018 when we got our Fusion PHEV and the inside one was added in 2020 when we got the Pacifica. The staff were good to work with in terms of upgrading the older one to be WIFI capable and thus I was able to use the existing 40A circuit for both. Saved a ton of money not installing a second circuit.

I have my Chargepoint Home Flex mounted inside next to the breaker box direct wired to a 40 amp circuit, the charge cable is run through an opening to the outside where I have an old hose hanger to hang the cable on and a 3D printed wall mount for the J1772 connector to protect it.

You guys with the immaculately clean organized garages, I envy you. I have a too small 2 car garage and a Mustang GT lives on one side of it. Because of the stairs/refrigerator on the other side the GT wont fit comfortably over there. I really want to be able to park my daily commuter on the other side. The charger wire will just have to lay behind the GT across to the EV parked nose 1st on the other side.
I saw a blog online where the person used RV wire ports to allow his charger to live in the garage and charge outside without closing the wire under the door or having it routed ground level around the door frame.
After confirming i had some extra siding laying around to cover up any screw ups I went for it.

Because the Juicebox is so close to the front of the garage i can reach a car parked outside accross the driveway or a car outside in the 2nd spot on the same side of driveway.
I installed the 50A/6 guage/14-50 outlet. Purchased the Juicebox 40. Installed the ports. Im in for close to $800. PSEG (power/gas co) reimbursed me $1500 for the install. Now i wait for a car.

Do people actually coil up their cables neatly, like shown in the pictures, every time? I'm no neat freak but that cable gets filthy laying on the ground, especially since mine is outside. There's no way I'm grabbing that cable and coiling it up neatly every time.
Good question. Mine being mounted on the passenger side of the car means I hung the cable over the car so it doesn't lay on the floor.

Are you the original owner of the Ranger? Lead acid, NiMH, or replacement LiFePO4? Did the old EVSE have one of these plugs originally?

I got it in 2020 so only had it a few years, got it from the Ranger gurus out of Oregon, it's a NiMH, planning to update to Lithium Phosphate someday, but did at least convert from the Avcon to the J1772. The charger that I got with had the Avcon, and I replaced that cable when I got the Bolt. It was doing good for the last couple years but it was really old, started to have faults, unplug it, plug it back in and reset it, wouldn't have been too bad but whenever it faults or restarts it talks(as all things do in "the future!"), so if it reset at like 2am, it would run through it's whole startup spiel, that and the not consistently charging was getting to be an issue.
