Hello.

I'm a new owner of a 2019 Shock Premiere in Omaha, Nebraska. I now have the pleasure of explaining to ICE addicts why I bought an electric car. To the tech-savvy why it's not a Tesla. To everyone why it's fluorescent yellow. Small annoyances in the grand scheme of things.

Love the car and look forward to many years of happy ownership.

The "tech savvy" will understand that such things as Tesla's electric door handles are not actually technically elegant. There are a few other bits of irrational exuberance on Tesla vehicles that are a turn-off for people concerned with pragmatic technical choices.

Florescent yellow is a nicely pragmatic choice. Notice that safety vests are rarely found in all-black.

But these quibbles don't rise to the level of Protestant vs. Catholic.

Enjoy your new car... and enjoy evangelizing about it. Take 'em for a ride... Here's a tip: gently get car up to 3-5mph /then/ stomp the gas pedal. Most of the time the tires will break loose. Soooo.... give a test ride and tell em roll the window down and listen to the engine sounds... gingerly get her rolling and stomp it. Shock and Awe ensues. The most common questions are how long to charge and how far can it go... I tell folks it takes 2x as long to charge as you drive it. 30minute driving takes 1 hour to recharge... As to how far it can go... it will suck in winter, but 3/4 of the year, I tell them 240 miles @ 65, 186 miles at 85, and over 400 at 45mph. Don't forget to mention that compared to the price of gas it gets 113mpg.
