Hello!

I got an offer from vroom on my 2017 Premier which I just bought used 5 months ago. The offer is about the same amount I paid for the car originally. I also initiated a call with the GM concierge line. They took my vehicle info and Initiated a buyback or swap option.

Should I sell it to vroom (and are they reliable)? Or should I wait for GM? Not sure. Btw the offer was for $17,500.00.

Lot's of places are desperate to get used cars which they can profit on during the shortage and high prices. If the dollar amount is a wash than you're in good shape. The question is what can you replace it with these days without paying more than something is worth?
Agreed. I just sold my Model 3 to Vroom for essentially the same price I paid last September and got a Model Y as it fits my family better. If you can trade/sell it for something that fits your needs better, by all means, go for it!

Just sold my Bolt to vroom. It took 40 days from start to finish. That final recall made me nervous. I loved the car but I am sure in a few years I will find another EV that I like. I got 18.500. For a 2017 with 33k (premier). I don’t think it was a bad deal.

If you would have waited, GM would have given you new batteries and a fresh 8 yr 100,000 mile warranty
I'm sure your 2017 Bolt would have been priced 3 times what you sold it for

It could probably be sold for more but that sold price was $1500 more than I had originally paid (used) including taxes. So I got to try the car for six months and cost me almost nothing. I work remotely so the car was basically sitting on my garage. I only put 2000 miles in 6 months and that’s because I was pushing it lol!!!
