A particularly sloppy day in the nation's capital; about 3" wet snow overnight, warming throughout the day into freezing rain, roadways variable from slick/icy to inch-deep slush. We affectionately call this 'wintry mix' -- yechh.

So the poor old dog is sick, had to get out and get him to the vet ER, and I'm glad to say the '19 Bolt handled the job with ease. Slippy road handling was completely predictable, regen deceleration in 'L' mode posed no problems at all, even down hills. The car was like, no problem I've got this ...

With only about 3kmi on this car, I can tell you we are very impressed with the overall design and function. Kudos to the engineers who ginned this thing up, and to the corporate gurus who had the guts and foresight to bring it to market!

Good info. In the spirit of risk minimization I have been driving our AWD stinker today, but tomorrow I'll be trying to do my Winchester-Leesburg-Ashburn-Sterling run in kEVin, so thanks for sharing intelligence :)

We had the same up here, though the snow wasn't wet heavy. Problem was it started raining for my commute. Car charge to 85% and freezing rain. Of course, NH also decided not to plow the dang roads as well. Ug. Had to run the defrost to keep the rain from freezing to the windshield and with the snow packed roads I was eatting through my battery. 60 mile commute and I an just 1 bar under half a battery now. Range shows 80 miles mid or 66 miles min. Least the afternoon will be nicer and the roads should be clear. Note, next time this weather looks to be coming, charge to 90 or 95%.
