I bought Val, short for Valencia because they are the sweetest oranges, on Earth Day and drove her home to Georgia from Missouri last night, gave her a quick wash to get the bugs off before people saw her for the first time at work this morning. She is a 2017 Bolt EV premier - Orange Burst and only had 2081 miles (now 2800 something after my trip home) Couldn't have them see her all eaten up with bug guts! If I didn't have such trouble driving at night nowadays I guess I could have gotten home much earlier yesterday, but because of the charging infrastructure not being as it should be in lower Missouri I had to go up and over to get me to where I was going. Headwinds and tailwinds are seriously a thing though, eh??

Previously I had a 2012 Volt, a 2013 CMAX Energi, 2014 Spark EV and then most recently my beloved 2017 Volt with ACC (Truly going to miss that part of it for sure!) I sold it to someone who had been looking for one for a long time and is just as excited to have it as I am to have my darling Bolt. Just an absolute amazing car and so very thankful to have finally found it!

Glad to meet you all!

Congratulations. It's nice to see the progression through the different cars.

I did the same thing until the Bolt was released. Those other cars are great, but the
Bolt will make them look less great after you drive it for a bit. Welcome to the forum.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hey Gina, nice to see girls joining in. Happy ones at that!

Buy a lot of cars do you? That's quite a list you have there.
Jeez, sorry about the delay. Every time I tried to come back in to reply to your comment on either my phone or iPad I got super spammed by popups that would not go away! Anyone else have that problem?

I shouldn't even mention this, but the bad thing is that all of those have been within the past 3.5 years too! I've been ever searching for the best vehicle for me, now I have finally found it! In all honesty the CMAX Energi and Spark EV were just secondary cars to play around with. I would have been fine without them but just wanted them at the time! Imma dork!

With such a low mileage, you need to know if it was charged properly. The only drive battery that I have seen go bad was in the Miev. Got one with 1300 miles on it. But, there were great lapses in charging...with dealers not bothering. That drive battery lost cells and was replaced under warranty. Thus, make sure that you can make full state of charge. If not, use the warranty on the battery and start anew. I have a better feeling about GM and the Bolt, but just make sure while you are covered.

It's worth remembering that on almost any Internet comment forum some fraction of the folks who you assume must be guys are actually women.

(And if you're someone who thinks there aren't women who are into cars like guys are into cars, you need to get your head out of the sand, but please don't argue the point here — make a new thread in the off-topic area if you must.)

Thanks Terry, but it's good. I get well over the rated range having hilltop reserve on so I'm thinking there is no problem there.
